Are you in your late 30's? You should quit, your body doesn't bounce back from smoking-related damage once you are past 40. It takes 10 years for your to regenerate the damaged cilia in your lungs.

Once you go two weeks, you can make it.

34. But either way it's time to stop smoking. I knew it would be a loosing battle to try and stop why working in a war zone so I always put it off. But since I'm home for good now it was a matter of finding a way to start stopping-which is about the only good thing the stomach virus did for me.

Last night was hard. This morning isn't bad. I just have to find shit to keep me preoccupied without eating myself to death. I have a bunch of new stereo shit to test out plus other things.

Once you go 2-3 days it's all mental. If you go 72 hours without a headache then there is no physical side effect happening.

This ain't my 1st rodeo. I appreciate the advice though.

Luckily I was/sort am drugged up so the shits....already had those, puking check...headache...Ah. 3 1/2 bags of ringer/lactose, O2 and some Ibuprofen! (Works WONDERS on hangovers. Ask a medic) So It was a little easier. because I wasn't battling thru the withdrawl from smoking so much as getting over something worse that had the same or worse symptoms.

Right now it's all mental. I find my self lost at times since it's usually when I'd go outside and have a smoke I just stand up and I'm confused haha.

So far in the last 24 hours I've cleaned most of the house, all the bathrooms, installed the HID kit into the Truck, unpacked a shit-ton of new stereo gear, cleaned up the drivers side of the caddy (vacuum, wide down with soap and water). I think I'll either work on installing the 2nd battery and everything that goes with that or the radio...clean the caddy. Shit. Clean guns. Play video games...something.

When I gave up the booze, I bought a Xbox 360, steering wheel and a 42 inch monitor to play it on. I spent many a night craving one more sip of whiskey, but found it far more rewarding to run around killing people on Black Ops.

Oh, and I had a stomach bug this last July. I ended up bringing my laptop and a pillow to lean my head on because I couldn't leave the shitter for more then 10 minutes. Total misery. Drink lots of Gatorade, or put a dash of salt in your water to keep your electrolyte levels normal.

Quit smoking 27 years ago and have never missed it. Rarely drink these days, last beer I had was at Beech Bend LSX event. As for being sick, was under the weather last week, but not so much the stomach stuff. Wife had violent food poisoning the other night. She was praying for death.
