I wish I had your time to work on a project of that magnitude. I have been wanting to build a t-bucket for quite some time now, and I just can find the time to make it happen... I gotta retire or find another job where I can make the money I make now and not work 80 hours a week.
Good Job Andrew, you are moving along well and I look foward to updates as they happen. It's actually making me want to start finding a way to do the bucket. On speedway motors as we speak looking at a kit.

Yeah, I got my welding cart built. No new updates for BubbaZ though. Now that I can handle my tig welder, I am ready to get back on it. I may start in with some light body work (rust repair), in preparation for the big body work (the firewall).

Well, I've been working on it a little bit.
I bought a cut-off tool to start with some of the sheet metal work. I figured it would be a little less dangerous than the plasma cutter.
About 3 minutes of that and I'd had enough.
I grabbed my plasma torch and man, the metal is falling off this car.
I'm at a point of no return now. Last night I cut out the steering column support. Most of the channel that ducts fresh air in to the cabin is gone as well. I also started modifying the 'new' GTO firewall I bought. I started looking at how it was going to fit, decided that the top of it needed to go away. So I've hacked it to pieces now as well.
I'll post up some pics soon. I may be destroying this car, I dunno.

I worked on it for another hour last night. A little more cutting on the 'new' GTO firewall and I'll be ready to remove the Camaro firewall.
It's either going to be slicker than snot or dumb as hell. Let's hope for the 'slicker' side of things.
Sadly, I found that the metal under the cowl (in the windshield wiper channel) has a fair amount of rust on the underside (but no holes). So I will have to address that before I weld the new firewall in.
