For Sale - 2000 Z28 - The Blue Chariot of Death
Some of you may remember when I posted my car for sale originally (on LS1Tech). Since the original post, I have sold some parts and reduced the price accordingly. Here are some updated pictures (and some old ones, since nothing changed in the interior).
First, the bad news. The roof panel is bubbling, and needs to be replaced.
Also, there is a little curb rash on one of the rear wheels. It looks fixable, but I haven't gotten around to getting it looked at yet.
Good news and pricing in the next post.

Now, on to the good news:
Engine bay:
Interior:
Vital Stats:
- I am the original owner. I took delivery on February 29th, 2000.
- The car was ordered with very few options.
- Ebony cloth interior
- No TCS
- Monsoon stereo (replaced, as you can see)
- Hurst short-throw shifter
- Rear window defogger
- Power windows and locks
- Driver's side window motor was replaced a few years ago
- Car has just over 106,000 miles.
- Engine internals are STOCK. There has never been a heads/cam package in this car. No nitrous, either. It burns about half a quart of oil between oil changes.
- I did replace the oil pump and pickup O-ring a few years ago with a blueprinted LS6 unit.
- Oil has been synthetic since the third oil change. Changed every 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first.
- This car had a Moser 12-bolt, which was sold. The replacement 10-bolt has 3.42 gears and is dead silent.
- I used to have Hotchkis springs, Koni SA shocks, and a BADZ double adjustable panhard bar. These have been sold and replaced with stock components from a 2002 (I think) SS. If I remember correctly, they had just over 36,000 miles on them when I put them on (swapped with a board member).
- The wheels are DPE R05-S Variants. 18x9 fronts with 275/35/18 Nitto Invos. 18x10 rears with 295/35/18 Nitto Invos. To my knowledge, these are still the ONLY set in existence for a 4th gen F-body. Lugnuts are Gorilla chrome, one lock per lug (key and code tag included, of course)
- Yes, I will sell the wheels separately, as long as you have stock (or near stock) wheels and tires to trade. Asking price for the wheels depends on what you have to trade.
- Other remaining mods:
- MTI carbon fiber lid w/ K&N filter kit
- Pacesetter longtube headers (EGR & AIR disabled and tuned out)
- TSP catted Y-pipe
- Magnaflow catback
- UMI weld-in subframe connectors (black)
- UMI trans-mounted adjustable torque arm w/ long bolts (black)
- 1LE front swaybar
- *NEW* Walbro 255 fuel pump (installed 3/17/09)
- Stereo
- Kenwood KDC MP628 head unit (MP3 playback)
- Boston Acoustics RX67 front speakers
- Infinity Reference rear speakers
- MTX sub in stealth enclosure
- MTX Thunder 4200 4-channel amp (head unit/speakers)
- MTX 3002 2-channel amp (sub)
- PAC SWI-X to run the steering wheel controls
- Lou's short stick
- Lloyd's mats with red Z28 logo (front only)
- Skipshift eliminator
- I also have the Helm manuals for this car, which I will include in the sale.
Other stuff worth mentioning (hey, I'm honest):
- Small door ding on passenger rear quarter panel (can be repaired with paint-free dent repair)
- Some very small rock chips on the hood/nose
- Small spider-webbing in front bumper from where it was repainted several years ago (fender bender)
- Passenger's side window was replaced a few years ago after it was broken during a break in (not a problem, but wanted to mention it, in the interest of full disclosure). The car was not stolen or damaged (other than the window), just stuff inside of it.
Basically, I've taken exceptionally good care of this car. Anyone who has seen it up close will vouch for that. However, it does have some of the "charm" of any high mileage car. I'd also like to add that it made 334hp and 343lb-ft on G-Force's dyno on March 17, 2009. That should tell everyone that this car is in excellent working condition.
I'm selling it to help fund my next project. I got to a point where I was going to either sell it or swap the motor for something bigger. I decided to sell it now, while it's running, and buy a Corvette.
I'm asking $8500 for the car as it stands. I will entertain reasonable offers. If I sell the wheels separately, that will drop the price.
Thanks for looking!
-Mike

I had bigger plans for it, but I decided to go a different direction.
If you ask my wife, it should be called The Blue Chariot of Debt.
