did the tech seem surprised at the cracks?

or was it old news to him, that they do that?

The cars just hit the streets 2 weeks ago. So, this isn't something that would be defined as common just yet. I'm sure they were very surprised when it first happened, but that was prior to us getting our runs in. It happened during the week sometime.

I assume the car will be taken to the dealer this week? I am interested to hear what they say about the car.

Also, Konrad (Local GM engineer for the southern region) will probably be the guy looking at it I would assume.

Wow... I wonder how much it is actually flexing, and what effects that's having on the aerodynamics of the car at those speeds....

Is it that particular part of the material that is cracked or is it just the paint on the material in that area?

The bumper cover is cracked, it is not just paint. The crack went all the way through.

UPDATE!!!!!

I've been away from the computer most of the day. During that time, I've been informed that the nose on this particular Camaro was a super early production piece, slapped on to get it out the door sooner. GM already knows about the issue, and supposedly it has been taken care of on other cars. Something about a support not being bolted correctly, it wasn't clear what the solution was without seeing the car in front of me.

Anyways, it appears they have a solution. I'm going to re-edit the first post to include this update.

Hope nobody does a cam swap before having this issue addressed so that they still have the warranty.
