G8 owners, what is your mpg?

Just got back from visiting the fiancee and I ended up getting a best 26.7 mpg during trip which is basically all highway. I was pretty happy with that and the best I had seen before was 25.8. Around town however, I only get around 17-18 because pretty much the only time I drive is to and from work which is a lot of stop and go.

I haven't done any notable freeway driving, and the car is still quite green (~400 miles) but I've been seeing ~17 to 18 in full stop and go city traffic, and up to 21 if I drive it soft and catch the lights.

19-20 daily driven. My last long highway trip netted me 24.6 mpg, with the DOD off.

Because that isn't much better than my TBSS...I get 16-17 around town and 19 highway and I have the AWD version.

auto, and 26.7 > 19

I drove around today about 100 miles with a good mix of highway and city and netted 20.5 or so. I was pretty pleased with that.

I do a mix of about 50/50 city and highway driving and I hover right at 20/21mpg every tank so far.

Yeah but I won't need a ZO6 and that. My daily needs to get decent mpg's. I drive 70 miles a day.

+1 that is the whole point of dd who cares if your daily is fast. Get a 4 banger and be done with it.

My DIC shows around 22-23mpg for mixed driving. I haven't bothered to properly check it. After the H/C this week, I'm really not going to look at it.

Well I can't go that far LOL, my daily is decent, '07 G6 GTP. 252 HP V6, A6, low 6's to 60, mid 14's in the 1/4 and it still gets 28 mpg. So it gets the job done, and makes a great DD. I just hate FWD. Maybe a yeat or so after I get the ZO6 I'll trade up to a G8. I just with they had a M6, it would help a little with the mpg's.

Highway the TBSS massive frontal area definitely kills it.

Or I could drive a 99 SS daily and have a lot more fun.

The best I've seen is 31/17. Not too shabby, eh.
