I own a (rather stock) 99 SS camaro. I have done the pulley , added a cat back, 4:10 gears, and a air lid from SLP...Can someone give me some other mods that will boost performance?

HEADERS for sure....LS6 Intake also.

A programmer or LS1 edit would be a good move as well. Assuming you have an M6 not an A4 due to the 4.10 gears you put in, otherwise I'd say a high stall converter.

+1 on the headers and LS6 intake

I am looking at a pair of Kooks long tubes and a LS6 intake now...and yes my car is a 6 speed..

With the headers and LS6 intake, you are almost done with the "cheap" mods. You could always spray it...

Yeah headers, LS6 intake and a tune would be the end of the phase I mods. I'd also like to see someone take a car like that and install LS6 valve springs, and then see if it pulls past (on the dyno) where that car would stock. If you could shift it a little higher you'd run a little quicker and faster.

Another vote for headers. With the headers you are going in someone to tune your car. Good luck.

get a nice set of kooks...the sound alone will satisfy you (for now)

There is only one way to go about this. First off, throw some long tubes on there and a nice Y-pipe. Next throw on a new intake manifold, the LS6 is a good bang for the buck. That ought to net you a good amount of horsepower.

One more for headers and intake. I went with pacesetters though, because at the end of the day I still got the power increase that the high end guys got, and I had enough money left over to buy a cam.
Oh and do it right hook an H pipe up to those new headers, sounds sooooooooo much better than a Y pipe, and although I have no numbers (yet) it made a pretty big SOTP difference.

Two days ago, I ordered pacesetters and the sweet thunder true dual setup from TSP, and am having a forum member send me his LS6 intake in a week.

If you end up wanting pacesetters, TSP has them the cheapest usually, but they are currently back ordered.

A nice set of longtubes, off road y-pipe, LS6 intake, ported MAF ends, and thats about it. Then it's time for a cam!

I would look beyond pacesetters myself, but that's just my 2bits

You'll need tires. Nitto makes the most common choice of "drag radials" for the street. They may not be quite as sticky as Micky T's DR's and require long warm-up times, but they last a lot longer and wont be quite as bad in the rain or cold.

After what you have listed and an LS6 intake and headers (Kooks are a great choice, as are QTP and American Racing, a.k.a. "ARH"), you'll want to start in on the suspension. :thumb:

Personally, I wouldn't get a tune or springs until you get a cam. You'll have to change both at that time anyway.

Give a sponsor a call and ask them what you should do next! :thumb: Futral's F13 cam is making 400 rwhp in basic bolt-on cars used for daily driving! Byunspeed makes some killer deals and won't steer you wrong.

I made 400 rwhp cam only with my TSP Torquer2. And that's with a 12 bolt and big ass 19'' wheels.

Make sure you install some SFCs if you intend on taking her to the track with some sticky tires.
Whether you want to or not, you might end up getting a 12bolt or 9 inch as well ;)

Headers and a ported throttle body will help a ton. Driver mod is the best mod bar none however.
