2009 Schedule

Saturday, April 25th at Gingerman

3 Balls will once again open the season at Gingerman. The date has been pushed back a week or two from last year to make sure we don’t have issues with snow. We will of course be camping out the night before.

Saturday, May 9th at Grattan

I know this is only two weeks from the opening event, but it was decided that the opportunity to have a weekend event at Grattan was too much to pass on. Besides, you guys will be so revved up from the winter that two track days in three weeks will be just enough to get the rust off and stop the withdrawal shakes. Grattan is the camping capital of the race world as far as 3 Balls is concerned, so plan on heading out the night before for some fun and games.

Friday, June 12th at Waterford Hills

I am happy to say that 3 Balls will be back at Waterford this year. The people at Waterford treated us very well last year, and the track was a blast. I think the people that came last year would agree it’s worth a day of vacation. (I also hear that track days can cure some common sicknesses for those of you who may be sick that day.) Waterford isn’t a camping day for most because it’s so close, but I’m sure we could get a few people together for a drink and some bench racing Friday afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday, July 25th and 26th at Grattan

The exact details are still being finalized, but 3 Balls has the track July 25th and 26th. One of the main ideas that needs to be sorted out is running the track backwards on Sunday. Some of the guys did that last year with another group and reported that it was a great time. There will be a cookout/party at the track on Saturday night in addition to the normal camping on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday, August 29th and 30th at Calabogie

The Great White North calls, and 3 Balls answers. This will be the third year in a row 3 Balls has made the trek to Calabogie for this fantastic track. They should have the bathroom/shower facilities fully functional this year, so we will have that going for us. We are also heading up much earlier in the year with the hope of some warmer temps. Words and pictures don’t do this track justice. If you have been looking for a new track to try, this is the one. The exact details are still being worked out (mainly cost because they haven’t set the rates) but the event is a go. Once I have confirmed the price, registration will open.

Saturday, October 17th at Gingerman

3 Balls will close out the season at Gingerman this year. This is a week earlier than 2008, so hopefully the weather will be a little warmer. In what I hope will become a tradition, 3 Balls will host a small party the night before for the camping group. Expect the normal shenanigans.

For more information, you can contact me directly or visit http://www.3ballsracing.com. We have had a few GTOs out in the past but this year I'm going to push for even more of you to come and see what high performance driving events (HPDE) are all about.

Matt,
Thanks for posting the information.

Just a reminder that the early registration deadline for Gingerman is only a week away. It's hard to believe, but warmer weather is actually just around the corner.

With only 10 days left to register, there are 15 spots available. This is shaping up to be a great event.
