A friend of mine (LT1Forumla007) got his Z back on the road the other day and took me for a spin.

402 or 403, pretty much a T-Rex cam, pretty sure the heads are ported, FAST 92/92, tune, TSP true duals with Pacesetter LT's, 3.42's, Yank 4,000.

Only negative is that untill next year it will have a 10 bolt and a stock trans and he is on Nitto street tires. Has some Nitto radials but as we all know they ar enot much better haha.

Car idled great after it was tuned, went out and from a 20mph pull at about 3/4 throttle the car spun the tires hard and fishtailed back and forth for an easy five seconds haha. After that it pulled rather hard. Its a really nice regular driver combo honestly.

We agreed that it needed tires bad but with some M/T DR's his rear would not last long.

Hooking hard it might run a high 10 but it's hard to tell when you are spining halfway threw first haha.

He stole the motor for like 3k and just got the itnake and injectors along with a few other odds and ends.

I figured I would post it up if someone was looking for ideas on a build however the exhaust would be a littlele loud for a summer DD.

I told him it will be a kick in the pants once he gets some tires.... the the power is pretty useless right now in first gear haha.

He knows the trans will not live long but he has my old TH-400 if need be. I guess RPM or someone is building the trans next winter.

It makes me miss my BBC..... LS's are fun and all but the sound and raw power a BBC makes.....

Once I get my buisness going here soon I will start another BBC project... maybe start with a notch stang, pull more weight out, build an all aluminum 540 or something with 800hp and threw on a direct port 300 shot.... or maybe not.... only going 10 point so will be looking for a high 8 sec street car.

Then I will find an older pro stock car to put something sick in for the track.....

It does suck not having a fun car right now but it will be worth it in the end.
