I tried to win one of the bandit cars from Year One… did not end up wining the TA but the video turned out pretty funny…

The bandit TA was a T-Top car but this one just happen to be in the back yard so it happened. The WS6 was so busted that we could not get it to drift because it had no brakes or drivetrain… We drilled a hole in the sub frame and hooked it up with a boxed metal bar under the subframe with a monster grade 8 bolt and attached the bar to a trailer hitch. About the 3rd lap it started tearing the track up and throwing dirt, this happened after the leaf springs busted out and the rear end started flopping…. This worked well enough for the driving scenes until the first jump and then both springs came threw the floor locked the TA down. We had to weld muffler tubing from the roof the leaf springs directly just to get her to roll for the final jump in which the car came 1 foot from landing on the camera guy!

So any vehicle involved in that much carnage on the street would have been impounded in a heart beat! So after it gets auction off to who else but Buford T Justice, who bought it to let it rot! So the whole concept was one of the Snowman’s kid would rescue the TA for uncle bandit. lol
