My goal is to hit 9.29 this year. I would be happy with 9.50's, but I really want 9.2's before I leave Alaska

I would like an 11.69 at altitude.

If I ever get the chance in the near future, I would like to go 10's at sea level. Just a drive away, but things are WAY tight money wise to be making said trip.
All N/A of course....driving the car to said sea level track. :D

So far 11.64 is my best. i have the "el torro" camshaft to install and put in the 150 jets and get it dyno tuned. Id love to run a 10.9 with that setup without breaking my rear end.

ill be happy with a 9.99 with stock heads plus nitrous, but the real goal will be 9.60's

I'm shooting for high 8's, but mainly race 1/8th mile around here so my main goal is going mid 5's in the 1/8th on one kit.

I would be fine with 11's in street trim. But everyone tells me when I get to that point I'll want to go for 10's.

03-23-2009, 05:17 PM
I'm hoping for a 9 sec slip full weight. The car went 10.66 at 122 on the brakes (no cage at the time) with a stock 10 bolt. I think a 9 second pass is within reach. It weighs 3810 w/me in it (I weigh 175).

I'm looking for a 12.0-12.2 all motor and mid 11's with a 125 shot of nos. Hopefully I can see one of those timeslips before i needs a ford 9 in the s-10 haha

Still lot's to do, but if all goes as planned..... we're looking for low/mid 8's on two kits.

All the calculators say 7.90's is doable(in a perfect world)

If it goes mid 8's I'll be thrilled. It IS a pump gas drinkin', Dairy Queen goin' street car ya know ;-)

We'll see-

I hit my goal of a 10 sec DD work truck back in december. A 10.5-10.6 should be attainable with a little more boost. I won't push it any harder than that until it is no longer the everyday work truck.

Here are my plans:

2001 Camaro SS - mid 11s, as I do not want to put a roll bar in it. Trap speed doesn't matter. :D

1998 Z28 - Going turbo soon and will be shooting for low 9s possibly high 8s, currently it runs high 9s N/A.

i thought my goal was driving to the track, shift into the 10's, and driving home

did that and its not fast enough (10.74 @ 128 H/C/75 shot)

hoping the the turbo setup im building this summer to dip into the low tens and future goal will be drive to the track, shift into the single digits, and drive home

no times for me..... i just want to make a top end monster......

i have 3.23 gears and i run a 15.4 at 93mph. same trap speed as my buddie who runs 14.3.
i want to put a turbo on it and make it a interstate screamer

Would like to have the SS in the high to mid 10's and still be well mannered on the street. It's going to be more of a auto-x twisties car though.

04-14-2009, 09:09 PM
Low 9's just once, then I will drop to smaller jets and run low 10's. I don't want a cage car. Too hard to climb my fatass in and out of a caged car. Too hard to give up the pizza and beer so I could climb into a caged car.

BAD ASS TA WS6
04-14-2009, 09:18 PM
It will never be with this car. But the next car I build, needs to be in the 10s on the street, (minus the MT DRs). 11s are fast as hell. But I hate getting used to the speed of the car.

Pretty much goes for everything. My 1000 used to be fast, now it's boring LOL.

Hard to say in reality, as I will never have a roll cage in any of my cars. Not really interested in the track other than numbers. I like to roll on the streets and thats it.

i'd like to run......out of car payments! :shiner: (only9 more to go, then it's all mine!)

then get me a cheap beater so i can do some work on my car without worrying about it being my DD. i don't drag race it, but it will be built for handling, and i may get into road racing with it.

Last time I went to the track I did 12.7 @ 121....next time will most likely be 12.0 @ 130. My car isn't set up for drag racing...at all.

I'm sure hoping for high 9's with my new combo and t-56. If i can't do it with the 6 speed an auto will be put in for sure, lol.

I've gone 9.4's and 5.9's in the 1/8, pretty cool stuff.

My goal's this year:
1) 12.9 with the TBSS without a cam or headers. Hoping that CAI, converter, tune is enough, we'll see.
2) 10.9 or better NA, no drastic weight reduction, in a 100% streetcar C6. 9.9 in the same car next year with a power adder. I'm willing to do a 6 pt 'bar but no 10 pt's for me anymore.
3) Buy an older car like a late 60's car, swap in built LS3, and go for 9.9's on motor.

well my car is just a fun little street car. not trying to set records or anything like that. but if i ever take my car to the track, i would be happy with an 11.5 all day.

High 9's @ 140+

With a six speed, top down, and the ac blowing ice in my face.. Should do it with the new motor/blower combo. EEK!

If not then I'll settle for 10.000000000000000000001's

Well guys just wanted to start a thread. And my questions to you is wat do you want to run with your car?? My goal is to build a sick turbo car and go 10's.

With a turbo you don't need to build something sick to go 10's. Well.... i guess that depends on your definition of sick.

Since I am carless right now my next car I am thining it will be a notch stang and swap in a bottle few all aluminum BBC and run bottom 9's on the motor and take it out on nice Saturday nights.... Id go faster but a 25.X cage on the street is a bad idea........ Maybe with the weight I will just run 8's N/A.

Then maybe get an older pro stock type car and put a motor in it to go 6's with it but I don't know. I need to expand my buisness first so all that will be down the road.

PLEASE tell me you are joking......... if not I hope I am never racing at the same track as you........ only the morons run the A/C at the track....... it is a saftey issue........ sticky tires don't like the water that the A/C drops.... Also good luck getting a track to let you run with the top down :)

Wanting to go high 11s in my SS and mid to low 9s in my T/A.

I'm also buying back my very first car (1966 C/10) and am wanting to do a Maggie'd 383 w/ a 4l80e. I want it to be a 12 second daily driver tow pig.

Don't be retarded of course I was joking.. I was making a point that my car wont have to be some racecar to run 9's. BTW I could run with the top down if I had the right safety equipment. Unless you think some cloth is going to save my life at 140+?

05-04-2009, 02:48 PM
I'm hoping to crank off some 140-142mph traps. It'll make me the fastest AWD stock bottom end Porsche. I went 137 in the almost 90* heat with a +1500 DA... So I know with a -1500DA it will be possible. May put a 28" tire on the car and take out the driveshaft out and go for some real MPH.

Remember I'm hoping for these 140-142mph times on 19's!

10.90's
