Been rolling around in this bagged 66 lately. Its pretty ghetto it was built about 15 years ago. Its a 5.0L Injected Mustang engine with a C6 but it rides on bags and has a four wheel disk conversion, power steering etc. It actually drives quite well and handles good for a big tank on 15's. Seems to catch a LOT of attention from all different sorts of people. But Im not for sure on this one its been a while since Ive had a Ford and its a bit rough. It needs 1/4's and a windshield and interior is kinda gack and the engine is just POO by todays standards. The thing hardly burns rubber. But its got a nice stance. Speaking of which thats MAX lift in these pics lol its LOWWWWWWW

Its about a 7/10 in terms of solidness. The floors and doors are mint but the hood and 1/4's not so much. Think Im gonna pass on modding it but its been kind of fun tooting around in it

It does look like a solid car.
Good call on leaving it as it is. Have fun!

Heres another one when i was out a few weeks ago. This is about as low as I can cruise it or it scrapes everything. Crappy phone pic

Pretty slick...love to see a NEW 5.0 go in that - and a new "F" for the hood...

Hmmm a coyote 5.0L eh? That would be a cool swap but those things are PRICEY at the moment. Yeah the damn F fell off when I washed it a few weeks ago. The hood is not so good its one of the worst parts of the car.

BTW My boat is in that canopy but I've been shopping for a liberator or Daytona eliminator since I saw that vid of your boat. I blame you entirely lol

Definitely a fan of those huge Galaxies. There was a guy who had a powder blue 500 vert when I worked at the local speed parts place. HUGE car, but wow did it have character.

Yeah, I think that 5.0 Coyote would be pretty slick in that...of course I haven't priced one because I have nothing to put one in. I'm just giving you a hard time about that "F". I wonder what a set of those Hoosier Pro Street type tires on a 17-18" rim would look on the rear of that?

Glad to see I'm responsible for your new sickness...I do what I can. You wanting a jet, I/O, or outboard? If want to send me a PM with kind of what you're looking for and price, I'll keep an eye out. Keep in mind I talk to Dave who builds Liberators quite regularly...

That's also a good candidate for the 5.0 Coyote...

That thing is low cam.:headbang: How does it handle the bumps?
What's the suspension set up consist of?

Yeah its definitely ghetto fabulous especially up here you just dont see cars like that anywhere anymore. As for the boat? Im liking the cat style and something that can handle 3'ers as my ski boat cannot and as fun as it is in the calm its downright frightening in the chop because its airborne all the time and hits down HARD so your wrecked after a day out in the rough stuff. Not entirely sure yet which drive I want I think price and condition would swing the vote Im definitely looking for cheap'er than bett'er but I want a good solid hull. If it were OB id want a turn key set up if it were IO or jet id take or maybe prefer just an outdrive and no engine.

The suspension is pretty basic on the galaxy. Its on bags but has no compressor so its set and go. I dont know the brand but they hold height for long long periods of time once set. I havent had it long and didnt really look at it too much. I havent even pulled a wheel off it lol. It was turn key so I thought it would be a fun distraction. I go through a lot of cars

If you want to be on rough stuff, I'd say away from a jet. They just don't do as well in the chop - when the pump loads/unloads it's real hard on them. It's hard on I/O stuff too...but with an I/O the drive hangs down lower so sometimes even though the hull is out of water, the prop isn't.

Outboards are the fastest on given horsepower, and have the most interior room (because there's no engine IN the hull) - but are typically fuel hogs and a powerhead is around $7k (for a 300X).

This one is a good deal - and I have thought VERY hard about getting it. http://www.performanceboats.com/boats-sale/93160-22-daytona-sale.html

You keep a 20 gal air tank in the trunk for impromptu slamming?

I do have portable air pigs but as of yet havent bothered taking one. I messed around with ride height quite a bit the first day and then kind of left it jacked up high because its still super low and it rides best there.

That is a pretty cherry boat I lurk over there and have seen it before. This one doesnt look too bad for the price but Im unfamiliar with the bad spots on them. Those cracks on the front look a bit scary...
