I've gone about a year without an LSx, felt a need to get back in one. The headlights are out because I was polishing them. The driveway is my g/f's place.

Sorry, apparently I haven't taken any decent pics of the GN by itself in awhile. I put it in the shop last week, about to swap the new engine in. Yes, the shop is filthy. I need to clean it up, but I haven't been in it much since I bought the house last March.....it's a $$$ thing lol.

That's the perfect small collection, a little bit of everything.

Thanks guys, I've been around the boards for years now...I actually thought I already had an account here.

Tony, is there anything LSx related happening in Houston the TX2K11 weekend? I'm riding over for that.

Tweaked, I've had the GN for 5 years or so now. Currently stock longblock, GT6131e, Art Carr 200, AC 3K Stall, Strange 9", Full basic suspension, and a bottle. Car never had a good change to shine in the 1/4 (Memphis has been without one for awhile now). Has gone some 7.0's so far....not bad for a stock longblock 87 V6 :). I think my best short time is a 1.52.

Since MMP shut down I've been working on all the "other" stuff on the GN. Brand new, fiberglass, hood, trunk, bumpers, aluminum bumper brackets, removed A/C, etc....and a fresh paint job. Car looks LOADS better, and I saved about 300 lbs. all in.

I've got a built longblock for it, but I haven't been motivated to swap it in. With the recent purchase of MMP I'm back on board lol. 3.8L bored .030, forged crank, rods, pistons, girdle, studs, ported heads/intake, mild comp cam, roller valvetrain. Should run pretty good with a 67ishmm and a 75 shot :)

The Z28 is likely going to be a budget build. I haven't done a budget build in years, and the car has too many miles for me to want to drop $20K building it right now. Goal is consistent 10's for $6k, car included.

Thanks John, that's what I was going for....now that I have them my goal is to get all three of the cars in the 10's and use the truck to bring them home lol.

I have a similar goal for a 3-car collection for me, the Merc is almost done so I can start looking for another car.

I have a feelin your goal is more lofty than mine lol.

What are your plan vehicles?

Plan is 4:

2006 TBSS, quick tow vehicle, DD, parts chaser
1951 Merc, one of my top four dream cars of all time
196_ Chevy or Pontiac for street/ strip car
20__ Corvette quick street car

I've been fixated on a newer C6 but I have to say that I really enjoyed my 2002 Z06 a lot too and I realize now that it was really a great all around car. A low to mid 12 second car stock that handled like crazy and hit 27 mpg stock.

Sounds like an awesome, and attainable, set. I had an 06 TBSS with bolt ons. If I do it again I'll get a 2WD. The ONLY reason I sold it was the best it every averaged was 16.5 MPG. I really liked everything else about it.

Sadly enough, I may be selling my Cobra here soon. I have a serious buyer, so we shall see. If that happens I'll get the other there where I want them, get the shop in order, and develop a mancave out of my sunroom.

If it sells, and if I can be patient enough, I'll wait till bonus later this year to pick up something else "nice".

I liked hitting MMP for the LSX Shootout, I hope we go back there.

Selling the Cobra.... oh no.

My '06 TBSS is a 1SS RWD model. I kept trying to run 13's stock and finally ran a 13.84@99. With a CAI I hit 13.7@101 on a 2.15. I have an underdrive pulley here and also plan drag radials. The DR's will help big time this thing has to be totally finessed off the line. I'm hoping for 13.3's. I'd really like to get down to a 13.2 without headers or a power adder.

Yeah, I went to the LSx shootout when it was here. Would be GREAT if it would come back.

Well, we shall see on the Cobra....after shopping around, I am finding that the used car market has apparently gone back up. I.E., I can't find deals like I could a year ago lol.

DR's should make a world of difference. I've seen a couple RWD's running low 13's/high 12's without headers/power adder.

What kind of fuel mileage do you get?
