Our condolences to the Bates family

We found out today that Thom Bates' daughter passed away in a car accident. She was 14.

Thom as you know worked at GM for a long time and recently started his own company. Many of you may have met him for the time at the LSX Shootout where he helped out and teched in the cars.

Our hearts and prayers go out to his family for this tragic loss.

That is awful news. My condolences to Thom. Was anyone else injured in the accident?

Doc Jamie shared a news link with, sounds like she was riding shotgun but the 16 year old driver and another passenger are okay. Did not sound like another car was involved.
