I've never had it to the track. Those pictures are from an event we have called backwards track...Which is exactly what it sounds like. We start from the shutdown area at our local track and race towards the start. Basically a street race without havin to worry about the cops

Here's a link to some pictures from the event

Haha, I did a Google Maps search for it and found it to be smack dab in the middle of nowhere.

I recall seeing a very well set up RSCB with the flareside bed (is that what it's called), owned by Amy in Louisiana. I recall seeing her click off a 12.45 NA.... h/c/i/exhaust/gears/tires.

I'll be going friday night to see what it will run on the 100shot. I'm expecting something in the 11.8x range

Oh, and it also gets used as a truck as well :D

Well, my goal was accomplished...but we ain't done yet!

11.68 @ 114 with a 1.68 60'
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd112/fastlane_03/2010-11-21122303.jpg

After all the smack I talk about 6.0's, I finally decided it was best to get more cubes, so I did on a budget. dirt_track_racer_81 built me a .005 over 6.0, that uses stock ls2 rods and a stock crank to give me 365c.i.. I'm going to end up spraying a pretty healthy shot so the rings are gapped pretty big and the cam was spec'd for nitrous, and I'm running -7 plugs now instead of the tr55 or tr6.

So...new combo

365c.i.
799 heads milled .030
Lunati .660 springs
Comp pushrods
LS7 lifters
.055 head gasket
Pat G nitrous cam
Pacesetter long tubes
dual 3" exhaust to flowmaster y-merge and 4" magnaflow mufferl

Changes to come:

New shocks
New slicks
New converter

Sorry, that is on a 100 shot...Just getting started. I believe with some tuning and the new converter, 10s are very possible

Thats haulin! I think im going to do a single rear/mid mount to my new 2011 Sierra. I'll dick around with it N/A for a while trying to master tuning first then go mod crazy. The thing that excites me the most is the invisible factor a pick up has. No one ( especially COPS ) expect a truck to whomp ass like yours!

Ahh yes loud gets attention big time. I build my stuff as quiet as I can nowadays. Although i havent yet done it many of my friends put on a cut out. I'll likely do that down the road. My nephews 05 Silverado 5.3 with a cut out running the stock cats sounds pretty damn good and not too loud either

That is a badass truck. A local guy had a Silverado that ran 10's. You have likely seen it online, it's blue with a turbo motor. He sold it a couple years ago, but the videos of him beating Corvette's, Mustangs and yes....some Fbody's were epic.

Nice truck.

Is your truck a true RST or do you just have the rear bumper and tips? Congrats on the new motor! A TVS 2300 fed 408 will hopefully be making it's way into my truck sooner than later.

phantom

It was a true Regency truck. I didn't like the tips out of the back, I got tired of cleaning the 20's and lots of other things have brought the truck where it is now.

I bought the truck brand new with 22miles on it for the same price as I could buy an NNBS with stock 17's. At the time I loved all the options, but eventually grew out of it and have what you see today!

WOW...Took it to the dyno yesterday to get some numbers. Made a couple quick 2nd gear pulls on motor and was a little disappointed with the results. Something like 342rwhp. Of course this was in 2nd gear with old, cold nitrous plugs.

We were initially going to use an .062 nitrous jet, but my buddy that was helpin me decided that probably wasn't going to get me to my goal of 500rwhp. So he decided we needed to use a .073 nitrous jet that usually makes around 175-190rwhp according to flow sheets he has. He made the timing changes in the computer and I put a fresh set of -7 ngk's in and made a pull...and here are the results

.073 nitrous jet

I'd like to thank Red Truck for giving me a badass nitrous tune up. I'm extremely happy with these results. I think we've finally found a good combination of parts that work well together...

Update:

Never made it to the track but put it on a couple vettes and some ricers and mini vans and whatever else I pulled up beside lol

Fast forward a couple months, we decided we wanted to put some more nitrous to it and didn't feel comfortable doing it with the stock intake and plate on the front of it. So I bought a Vic Jr and a 4150 plate and put a fuel cell up front for the nitrous. We dyno'd the truck with the new intake on 2-25-11 and picked up a bit with the intake
http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd112/fastlane_03/aunt%20jamima/2011-02-25195056.jpg

Couple days later we built the bracket for the cell up front and I redid my nitrous wiring and on the way home the truck lost oil pressure:(

Didn't investigate to find out the exact cause but it turned out to be a spun cam bearing. I can't really point fingers, but this was fresh machine work in November, with supposed to bearings. Oh well...I ordered new stuff the next day and started the new build

I need to do some cleaning under the hood but living on a dirt road kind of hinders any of my motivation to get it clean lol

Anyways, machine work on the new motor was done by Jerry's Motor and Machine in El Reno, OK and my buddy Tyler who threw all this junk together that I had laying around:D

Still haven't had it on the dyno. It's running on a tune that I threw together for it, which isn't too bad, but it can definitely use some work. Gotta thank my buddy Tyler for putting the motor together, my buddy Bryce for helping me pull the old motor and stab the new one in and Chief for putting the nitrous tune up in it. Once we reach the goal with this motor in The Black Truck, it's going in something LITE!

While it was apart, I ordered a new converter suited for my combo, ordered a roll pan, some bogarts for the rear and some bigger stickies. I've had the parts to lower it for some time, just haven't had time to make it happen. Once its lowered we'll have to redo the traction bars so that's another reason I've kind of been dragging my feet.

A pic as she sits today...
