I got a chance to test drive a new 2SS MN6 Camaro SS on Friday. Quick impressions were it's a solid-built car. Felt like it had sportier handling than my old 1998 Camaro SS. Mid-range acceleration seemed decent though I had a sales man with me so I didnt' get a chance to really get on it.
Visibility was pretty decent, I didn't really have problems though backing up a car that I don't own is always a bit daunting.
I think in my head I liked my old 2002 Z06 a bit more, though I'm looking for a car that could haul my wife and my two young boys... We'll see.

Go test drive a new CTS-V. You might just forget you drove a 2010 Camaro. Yes, it is that good.

I might do that at some point.
The Camaro is amazingly quiet to me.

There is quite a price difference between the two!

My Camaro 2SS was $36K. CTS-V was $53K. $17K difference, but you also don't get the supercharger, bigger Brembos, magnetic ride control, huge sunroof, rear seat room, big trunk, low 12s stock, the better ride quality and handling, the much nicer interior, exclusivity etc...
I totalled up my Camaro with the street price of all the parts installed that it has. Comes out to around $52K as it sits. Still not as nice as the CTS-V.
Fun-factor wise, I put the CTS-V up there with a C6 Z06. No, it isn't as fast as the Z06, but it is just as fun to drive. My opinion. Stock Camaro is kinda fun, but at a different (lower) level. The Z06 and CTS-V are at an excessive level of fun. :)

No he bought new. I don't really know what a 'V goes for new, $55-60K base was my guess.
I'm super busy right now so I don't have a bunch of time to go test drive cars but I'll be researching when/where I have time.

Damn he must have gotten a heck of a deal. Or the prices went way up. On Cadillacs site a 2010 Base V starts at just over 60k.

They were offering good rebates on the leftover 09's. They went fast.

Near the end of 2009, Cadillac was offering $10-11K off MSRP on remaining in-stock 2009 CTS-Vs. That is when I bought mine. They also had 0% financing for 72 months, which I took advantage of :)

Now there's, a smart man!!

Haha I feel that everytime I upgrade to a new ride. Maybe not every car but everytime you go from one car you actually "love" to another car your supposed to love it nevers feels asa good at first ( unlike swapping old women for new ones that is :P ).
Anyways I had it bad when I went from my 80Z28 to my 87Z28... Had that 80Z and many other 2nd gens a long time. Even had a 701/2 RS Z28 for a time. Never really drove it that was an investment car like my 89 Players Challenge 1LE IROC is but still... back to the 87 i got used to it and started liking it the best.. and decided to keep that one. Financials get better as we age so I keep things now and they mean more and more to me every year. Plus the 87 had power windows and AC and wow OEVERDRIVE lol. You get the point

Well the two things that I miss with the 2002 Z06 are (1) the power to weight ratio and (2) pedals. Of all the cars I've driven over the last 5-6 years I liked the pedal positions of the Z06 the most. The new Camaro's pedals seemed okay, and the clutch engaged decent too.
