Was the car really called "Shizzler", or is that your name for it?

Well.. that what the original owner called himself. I need to see if I can dig up some old photos of that car. It use to have bright green stripes and was rarely clean.

My bad. Looked like it. It looks like some sort of custom rear set up though.
Do you know what it is? THANKS!

The bar below the rearend is a UMI rear drag (sway) bar. It bolts into the stock location and has adjustable arms.

The long one is the lower control arm. The one behind it is part of the drag sway bar.

I'm just waiting for rear lugs and some metal valve stems, then I'll have the car back down on the ground.

When does the black paint show up for that hideous red axle? Looks like something the rednecks down here would do on a lifted pickup truck. :)

John, you don't need a red axle to bug people. It comes natural :)

That picture is really advanced for a cart. Are you telling me no one here ever build a wood go cart? 2 to 5 hp engine - wood frame to save weight - you hung two wheels on a 2 x 4 in the front - sat on the wood drove with your feet- belt drive off a little clutch. No air bags - no brakes :psj:

Yes to both John.
I finally got the right size rear lugs and was able to put the rears on the Shizzler. TOIT!!
Getting the fronts mounted right now, and will swap 'em over on the holiday weekend. I need to grind one spot on the calipers and then I am all set.
I now need a shortblock.

Very cool!! :thumb::cheers: Yes, there is a big prison here! Maximum security. (It's funny how people connect Walpole with the prison.) lol It's about 5 minutes from my home. I also live 5 minutes away from Gillette Stadium. Brookline and Quincy are about 30 minutes away.

Update: I can't put the car back on the ground until I fix or replace two bolts. One of them is a rear shock bolt, the one that goes through the rearend. One of mine needs the threads fixed or I need to replace the bolt. Ugh. The other one is one of the three big torque arm bolts. One of mine goes through, and I was missing the nut, but the threads look pretty bad too. I think that one will be pretty easy to replace.

Kind of. They tore down Sullivan Stadium and now it's Gillette Stadium, which is inside of Patriot Place. It's like a little football town. lol Totally changed from when you remembered it, if you ever saw it back in the day.

Had a productive afternoon. Found a replacement bolt/nut for the rearend. Bought a 7/16 fine thread die, and fixed the threads on the shock bolt. Finally was able to drop the car on the ground in the back.
Jacked up the front and ground the back calipers for the Billet Specialties 15x4 fronts that I picked up from them last week. Looks sweeeet. I'lll post some pics.
Tones, I have not lived in MASS since the early 90's but I still have some friends from HS that I talk to, I went to BC High in Dorchester.

those are called Lower control arms with rod ends instead of poly/rubber bushings. the upper bar is an anti roll bar that has an endlink welded to the chasis.
its pretty typical stuff.

Find a used 6.0L truck engine and spray the piss out of it. You can also find some cheap LS3/L92 heads and make great power for cheap.

Let me know, I'm following up on a couple. I'd like to run a stock shorty and hand ported LS3's, and then spray the rods out of it. I will then set it on fire... Okay scratch the last part unless it crawls.

I will keep you posted. Not sure how stock it is. It puts down about 480 at the wheels and about 470rwtq.
It's actually, Steve Rupp from Camaro Performers magazine. He may swapping out the LS2 for a LS3. He needs to sell the LS2 for the new engine. He does A LOT of auto-x with that engine, which is in a '68 Camaro deemed BAD PENNY. You may have heard of it?
