Flyby of the #3 GT2 Corvette, one of the Mazdas, and the Flying Lizard Porsche. Personally, I think the new Vettes sound a helluva lot better than the older GT1 cars.

I was standing about thirty feet from the accident. It scared the shit out of me. Especially when the car hit the fence. :jest:

Updates from 9/25:

The XM Acura almost got a faster qualifying lap time than the diesels!

The GT2 Ford GT got it's first pole position ever!

A new top for the Patron Acura was shipped overnight from California. Last that I saw the engine and transmission were in the car!

I think I read somewhere that he was going around 130 mph just before liftoff.

It continues to amaze me how often the tires get removed from the rim in the event of a crash. They are made to handle amazing amounts of sidewall stress, ridiculous.

Those cars are tanks for how light they are. I'd feel safer in one of them then in a normal car/truck.

I don't want to sound cocky, but I think this last series of shots may be my best to date. Especially considering that I was manually focusing the lens all day.

Yeah, the driving lights are pretty cool. The Ford GT sounded almost as badass as the Corvettes. I think I got a couple of videos of it coming through the esses. I'll try and get those uploaded.
