Saw this on the way home from work the other day. It amazes me how resourceful people are. Where do you mount a hitch on a Miata anyway?

Nice. Some people are just stupid. Last week I saw a beat up LS1 T/A pulling a small trailer with an ATV in it. Its ass was nearly dragging the highway. I would have snapped a pic, but that T/A was driving so slow that I couldn't pace him without blocking the freeway.

Its a good thing nobody snapped a pic of me when I moved to TX  Picture a brand new 1998 Formula, towing a 5x8 U-Haul :shortbus: trailer from WI to TX. I had it leveled just fine, but it weighed MORE than the car -- starting and stopping was an adventure.

Not that my car looked goofy but mentioning about the starting and stopping. I have a 2000 Buick Century, with 56k on the clock. There is a big diff with me only in the car and then having my wife and 2 adult friends and a full load on the trunk. You can really see the short comings of the older brakes..... yikes.

I've seen a hitch on a prius, not sure what the hell they planned on towing with that thing either.

I really wanna know what you put in a 5x8 U-Haul trailer to make it weigh more than your car... you must have some really heavy small stuff.

Yea, it was a lot of smaller items that weigh a lot. It was packed VERY tightly as well, no spare room in there at all. If it didn't fit in the car or trailer, I gave it away :)
