Well I went to an auction looking for a GTO came home with this. My luck with used cars has been on the bad side and my bank sent me to the auction with a broker, couldn't find anything at the auction. He had this on his lot, one owner, older gentlemen, very well taken care of. Car rides smooth, power is smooth, A/C works AWESOME, car is a blast to drive everyday and I love the retro looks (I'm a sucker). No real plans except for the elanor grille, a chin spoiler, different wheels, and maybe the roush spoiler. Hood scoop is coming off tomorrow, it also has a roush supercharger, short throw shifter, and corsa catback. I love it actually and I never thought I'd say that about a STANG! I haven't switched to the darkside, it's just a pretty damn cool DD.

At least it has a blower. Probably a 12-second car, should be fun to drive. Those 4.6L Mustangs NEED a roots blower to have some torque output. Our '06 GT was a mega-turd, and I always hated that it only had a 5-spd manual. Revved like hell on the highway without 6th.

While I was shopping Apr-May time frame, '05-'06 stangs were thousands of dollars cheaper than a similar GTO.

I'll be the first to admit that I never was a fan of Mustangs until these came out. I hated the SN95 chassis ones, I can't stand Fox Bodies, circa early 70s stangs are my favorites and these remind me a lot of them.

I seriously needed a car quick, finding a nice GTO for my price range was becoming a PITA, got a deal on this and well I bought it. I got to drive it for a whole day before deciding as well. I've throughly enjoyed it this first week of owning it. Rides smooth, power goes down smooth, and all the girls love it. It is out of place in our driveway though lol.

If I can find a good deal on wheels I'll do it, as for now those are staying. We just got one traded in at the dealership but it's got the 17inch Bullits with brand new rubber, but I dunno if I like those honestly.

that fake scoop makes me want to yak.

I was spanking GTs all over at the track last night. 13.7 was the fasted 1980+ mustang there lol

other than that is a nice car. I am with tony on the needing 6th gear thing though.

at least yours has the rousch blower, that probably makes it a ton more fun than your standard GT

fake scoop is coming off as soon as I have a day when I get home and it's not raining! I want the sun and engine to heat that bitch up so I can take it off nice and clean like

Not a bad looking car. I liked the tinted headlights and running lights. IMO I would tint the tailights and throw on some 17" torq thrust II gunmetal rims. Nice blower. I agree with the whole needing roots to get one of those things to move.

How bad are the highway rpms? What rpm @70?

around 2000 at 70. My daily commute is 6 miles to work, 6 miles home, or down the road to the gym. Then around town at night, so it's not like I am going all over the place.

Cool, congrats on the new ride. Your plans for it should make it look pretty good too - keep an eye out for a set of used wheels, might not be too expensive to swap them out.

I'd like to get a set of all black saleen ones, I'm hoping we get a stang traded in soon with some nice wheels, then I can do a freebe swap.

Thats a cool find, I am suprised a dealership didn't keep that on the Lot, must have been asking too much.

Well, I have to admit I think it looks better than a goat, besides the scoop of course - and that its as common as a blade of grass.

Got some updates coming later today.
