Well, as the title says, I am guilty of the auto hall of shame. So much so, that I refuse to give all the information of what was done to the car to "increase" power. It was a 2001 Grand Am with the 2.4L. I lowered it put new wheels on it. Here is one of my shameful moments with the car. Hope everyone finds it funny. If there is a car you are ashamed of, please chime in. Enjoy

When I graduated high school, just before I went into the military, I bought a 95 Camaro V6. I thought that thing was the fastest thing out there.

I had a 98 Dodge Dakota sport (V6) when I was a senior in High school....I'm pretty sure I raced that thing more than I do the camaro. "of course it was faster than my camaro, but that is besides the point" :)

I thought my 96 dodge ram indy 500 edition was the baddest mofo on the street. everybit of its 245 horses. Back when I thought running boards was a cheaper way to make it look lowered.

I think the best thing in High School was all the RICE in the parking lot.

That's funny. Back in 99 I used to cruise around in my 99 4 door Cavalier thinking I was king because the car was brand new. I also raced people in much faster cars as long as they didn't know we were racing. God I was retarded

I remember doing neutral drops down to first from about 4k rpms and the 10mph in reverse and slam it down to first in my ram. I was hell on planetarys inside the 46re. I went through maybe 3 transmissions like that.

:naughty:I forgot to mention the 1986 caprice classic fully loaded with vinyl top. Dirt brown in color. The gauges stopped working after about 250K miles. It was a hand me down for a first car to own. Water pump went out. I was about 5 miles from home. Thought I could make it. WRONG!!! I wound up melting holes in 2 of the pistons. I had more water in the oil pan of that 305. It was a learning experience. lol:naughty:

Hmm... first car was a 92 750i BMW, didn't do many shameful things in that, considering the piece of shit couldn't stay together to DO anything shameful.

My 02 Accord after that however...... yeah.... Spent $1500 and put some nice 19 inch rims on it. It was the 4 cylinder model.....

Luckily I understood what power was, and I wanted a Supra like every other ass fuck on the planet, so I settled on an f-body :P

I'm glad, because I probably would have settled on a 250k mile N/A supra, just for the name

Oh man. Here goes. I owned 3 different cars during the time that I lived in Germany. One of them was a Renault Twingo.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fb/Renault_Twingo.jpg
The one I had was purple with matching polk-a-dot interior. It was the cheapest transportation I've ever owned, lol. But to redeem myself, after that I got a convertible turbo-charged Mazda RX7, then I came back to the States and got my '99 Z28. :)

I bought my first vehicle when I was a Junior in High school. It was a 91 4x4 Ford Ranger v6 with a 5 speed manual transmission and silver in color. loved that truck to death and really wish I had never sold it bc it would have made a hell of a DD. put diamond plate around the bed and dropped a smooth diamond plate tool box in the back to haul the little things to keep from cluttering up the single cab. put chrome bumpers on it, chrome headlight housings, chrome wheel well inserts, hood bug deflector, 12in glass pack exhaust and kept it as clean as possible. I wish I had picture's it actually didn't look bad at all and was fun as hell in the country. After I graduated I got a better job and had always loved my uncle's camaro. That was in 2006. He let me drive it and right after that I knew what I wanted. I'm only 20 years old, so yea I'm still very young. Haven't stopped admiring my car since the day I first brought it home 2 years ago.

my first car was an 83 Renault Alliance that my dad bought for me for $300 or so....i put a pair of 6x9's in the rear deck and abused the hell out of that car until it died. it actually held up pretty well for the amount of torture i put it through, i used to jump the humps in the road from railroad tracks & stuff in that thing, hahahaha...dukes of hazzard style!click (http://image.automotive.com/f/images/9840495+w440/epcp_0602_z+renault_alliance_and_encore+photo.jpg)

then my mom bought me a 92 hyundai excel for my H.S. graduation in 94 for something like $3k - $4k. i put a little more expensive stereo in it and took better care of it, but it eventually died also after about 4 years....the crankshaft just broke one day as i was just cruising down the highway @ 70mph.... click (http://www.analogstereo.com/images/om/hyundai_excel.jpg)

then the first car i bought on my own was a 95 V8 thunderbird, and it was a great car, and compared to my other cars, was pretty quick...but nowhere near LS1 level, obviously...although i REALLY miss the IRS that it had, it was REALLY comfortable to drive. i drove that for 6 years, and never had any major problems with it.....the only things that come to mind that i didn't have a hand in causing were a slightly melted wiring harness and some A/C issues that were fixed cheaply & easily. i did accidentally suck up some water into the air intake once when it was raining like crazy one time, though, and it ended up bending some valves & rods, which cost around $2500 overall to fix. i sold that car to my cousin and it still runs, but it's definitely showing its age.

then i bought my 02 Z28 and have been daily driving it for the past 4.5 years with absolutely zero problems (knock on wood!)....and for once, i've spent more money on performance parts than stereo equipment.....

i've never really riced-up any of my cars visually...my camaro is the first one that i've put different wheels on, and that's the only appearance mods i've ever put on any vehicle of mine. i have definitely spent a LOT of money on audio equipment over the years, but i've also toned it down quite a bit from what it used to be.

starting with the hyundai, i started with several different pairs of 12" subs (at different times, only 2 at any one time), then i had four 10's in it, then two 10's, then i went to dual 12's in the thunderbird, followed by a single 12" (when one of those blew out), and now a single 10" in my camaro. unless i opt for a really good factory stereo option (not likely), i'll probably always have some sort of system in any vehicle i drive, but gone are the days of doing nothing but pounding out as much bass as possible....it's much more enjoyable to go fast than to be loud.....
