Well should we even watch the NBA playoffs this year or just fast forward to the Cavaliers vs. Lakers finals matchup?

What teams are realistically going to take out Kobe and Lebron James? Boston isn't going to take out the Cav's minus KG, not a snow balls chance in hell.. I don't see Orlando doing it either. The so called tough match up against a Portland team in later rounds isn't going to faze the Lakes either..

Well, I'll watch the playoffs anyways? Anyone watching hoop?

I would like to see the Lakers win it all mainly because I grew up as a kid going to laker games and seeing showtime, Magic, Worthy, Kareem, etc.. been thru the Shaq-Kobe era as well, the Vlade, Nick Van Exel, Elden Cambell years. Life long fan of these bastards.

I really like James and the Cavs as second favorite team to watch though.. Fun explosive bunch..

Got free tickets to the Magic game last night, man Hedo almost blew the game by himself. Lakers are too deep. Kobe and the boys will shut down the Cavs. Lebron can't finish games like Kobe. Odem, Pow and Bynum and too long and skilled for the Cavs post players. Lakers Guards are better too.

The play of Nene and Billups is impressive. If Carmelo Anthony can ever begin to play like he did last year they could be really tough. You got the Bird man energizing everyone with blocked shots, you got Smith who is just an offensive machine coming off the bench. For the future of the team we had to make a sacrifice this year. That just so happened to be trading Billups for Iverson for financial reasons. Iverson,Wallace, and McDyess' contracts are expiring so that gives us 20 million under the cap to spend this offseason to get some free agents. We also have 4 draft picks in June.

I love the Pistons and had that we got rid of Billups but understand that it had to be done for the future of the team. Somebody had to go and because his contract was worth so much he was sacrificed. We will be back.

Detoxx - Well the big sports bar located on the ground floor at the Staples Center Arena that is open to the public is a crazy place to hang out on game day. You better be a Laker fan or you will get raped.. Good grub and big beers on draft. It's right near the box office and the Magic Johnson statue, so you can't miss it.

I don't actually live in Los Angeles where the Staples Center is located, I live at the beach in Santa Monica which is very close to Venice beach and Malibu. All about a 30 minute drive to the Staples Center with no traffic.

I would say tell your cuz to drive to Sunset Blvd in Hollywood after the game. There is a bunch of Bars and clubs on Sunset Blvd and that's about a 20 minute drive from the Staples Center. You got the best comedy clubs, bars and band clubs right there on Sunset and you can't miss them. Great for the 20-30 year old club looking for chicks and a good time.

If that doesn't work out Beverly Hills is about 15 minute drive from Hollywood. Very close. Your looking at high end clubs and bars for the top end high maintenance ho's. Must spend money and be well dressed to have a good time though..

Being a better shooter doesn't make you the MVP, being more important to your team does. I wouldn't go as far to say that Lebron is not a good jump shooter though. Lebron has lacked that killer instinct in the past, but we will see if he has matured when he plays in a series when he is actually challenged.

Agreed. I felt that not having Chris Andersen hurt them some too, he brings a lot of energy. My money is on LA and Boston to win today, history stats show the home teams win 80% of the time in games 7's, and numbers don't lie. So based on that stat alone the Rockets and Magic are absolutely going to have to play their asses off to get the wins today.....

Also note - Celtics and Lakers both have way more playoff experience too.. Celtics are last years champs and the Lakers were in the finals. Houston and Orlando not the case.

People are saying Lebron is the best player in the league now. I honestly don't see it just yet, Kobe has a better shot, can score easier, and plays better defense then Lebron. Kobe I believe has better ball handling skills too. Lebron is more explosive and athletic but has not passed Kobe in skills just yet. Game winning shot at the buzzer I think I would rather Kobe take it then Lebron too.. Until Lebron scores 81 points in a game I think not..

That's my opinion, even though Jerry West thinks different..
