This is BILLYMAN!!!!!

On planetlsx my membership has been "set aside". I'm shown as a member but my password nor my email address is found. If I re-register, I have to do so under a different name and that's BS. This is my thread! I'm the original author but the thread opener/poster (as author) is "colonel". That's plagiarism! I put together this thread and posted it on another forum long before I posted it here.

Is this a sign of how things are going to be when it's officially open? I was told it would be different than LS1tech but so far it looks to be a mirror of it...........all BS included.

WTF?

Alright, after reading a ton of threads on welding up gears for extra traction, i went ahead and welded mine up.

I put the third back in and went to pull out of my garage, and I just roasted my clutch. I figured that maybe there was some slag left in the bearing, so i dropped it in 4lo and lo and behold something broke loose.
MY FUCKING DRIVE LINE.

I'm really pissed at all this BS talk. I welded my junk really wel. And now my driveline is twisted up like a damn pretzel.

You are all a bunch of shit talkin Jerks.

What the hell did you all do differently?

I am wondering if the picture of the turbos on top of the flowmasters was someone doing a "hidden" turbo kit. The fab works a little too good... Run the plumbing in the car, and come in from the firewall like that 63 Tempest and really suprise some folks...

The rest... well... interesting...

I wanted to add some detail at an overlooked piece. I did some serious research as I was gathering pics when making this thread. Below is the again pic of the manifold/turbo configuration as the fist pic in this thread. This is NOT a deteriorated/rusted away old project of yesterday. At the time the photo was taken (2006) it was all brand new and ready to install. Believe it or not, there was two of the same as it was a twin turbo project. The monstrosity that you see is consisting of 6lbs of brass braising rod!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it was actually a very clean install. There was actually custom piping in the mufflers themselves, so it wasn't just a turbo welded to a muffler lol.

I once tried to weld a muffler on my 81 malibu.. that was an epic failure and would have graced this thread very well :o

Shawn MacAnanny
03-22-2009, 10:14 AM
Haha well i got a complete LS4/4T65eHD for $400 on ebay and i had bought it for the 243 heads and had a spare set of 241s so i decided i was going to use the LS4 with an MSD 6012 box to run it carbd. I was going to use the impala hubs and spindles welded straight as an IRS driveline for the FWD transmission but ended up decided it was going to actually cost more than a couple hundred dollars.

The camaro subframe (from a 94 Z28), trailer frame and all were basically a temporary jig to get everything installed in place, get the motor running and moving, then spend money on the chasis haha. It was just one of those dumb, bored one day, ideas.

Haha what's wrong with a flux core welder? I use mine for alot of stuff. I think i piad $120 for it lmao. Also another one of our projects i thought it about that is just as bad.

Were in the process of my friend 96 Tacoma LS1 swap at my house and we're using my 1954 Harry Furgeson tractor to movie the engines and such around with the stump boom, and the radiator just completely rusted out from time. So we decided to remove the hood and all and use the radiator from the 96 Tacoma with its electric fan. I welded some 1x3 tube steel to the bottom of the radiator. The plastic end tanks got a little soft but theyre fine.

It would fool many on the street. The mufflers have piping INSIDE them so what's the difference in that setup and a rear mount?

HAHAHA Yes! That has to be a joke, who would remove that to weld it? Plus he must have read about welding bolts in the spider gears.

I have seen near worse...... like the guy with the GSXR that was running rough so he stoped at a gas station and poured two can's of NOS octane booster energy drink into the tank not realizing that the stuff that is in the fridge is different then the stuff on the additive shelf...... It ran worse then the thread became epic..... even made it on the testicular cancer survivor's board and they were making fun of him.

The guy refused to replace the plugs and fuel filter and said he would just add fresh fuel and ride it.....
